Nice airport to build a third terminal by 2018

Terminal 2, Nice ariport

This morning, Nice Airport unveiled a plan to build a third terminal by 2018 next to and to the west of the existing terminal 2.

Terminal 3 is intended to be able to handle 4 million passengers per year. The aim of the new terminal is to reduce the turnaround time by limiting the time that aircraft are parked on the ground by connecting them directly to the new terminal. The turnaround time could well drop to 25 minutes and allow low-cost aircraft to increase the number of flights they operate.

The work should last a year and a half at a cost of around 80 million euros.
