Port de Pierre Fourmi
The port of Beaulieu Fourmis is characterized by its statut associatif (association) status that gives it a special atmosphere with the local resdident fishermen who have the majority of the moorings.
It was not until 1989, following the decentralisation laws, that the second small port of Beaulieu, Pierre Fourmi was built. At that time there was a boathouse on the beach. The area bieng mostly used for the boats of local fishermen and a few boat owners.
So this associatition form that we have today enabled the development of a harbour that can accommodate up to 260 boats, with a maximum draught of 1.5m and lengths of up to 12m in the outer harbor.
In immediate proximity of villas and Kérylos Ephrussi de Rothschild, the Eiffel residence and the magnificent Rotonde de Beaulieu-sur-Mer adds charm to the port of Beaulieu Fourmis. With this prestigious setting, this port is a real gem of the network of ports in Port d'Azur group.
This type of management of the port is also an asset for organizing many activities including well located fishing competitions.
